Long-distance move from California to Colorado

Fraud: Buyer BEWARE.

I signed a contract and made a deposit for a move from CA to CO. Once they received my deposit, I was unable to reach anyone via phone, email, the website contact request to address my questions about the move. They never returned my calls, voicemails, emails, and web contact requests. I called 10 times in one day. You can never reach anyone when you call the toll free number, it always goes to voicemail. I was unable to find a corporate headquarters to contact. The DOT# 3113891 on a contract was not "active".

I sent several emails canceling my service due to the inability to reach anyone. The email stated in the contract to cancel was invalid.

I had to hire another moving company and never received any refund and was forced to pay a deposit for services not rendered.

Long-distance move from Baltimore, MD to Charlotte, NC

Good Job!

After speaking to a few moving companies I decided to go with Unified Van Lines because I was comfortable with the price, their reputation looked pretty good, and my moving coordinator Kyle was extremely thorough in letting me know what to expect throughout my move. What followed was one of the most pleasant moves I have ever experienced. The movers were professional and polite, which was a relief because I have moved a few times and some of these guys can be plain nasty. Delivery time was reasonable and the communication with customer service was excellent. I will definitely be using them for my next move!

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Texas

This comapy is a fraud- Do not use them.

This company is a fraud. They take your belonging (sentimental and expensive) and your money and they don't deliver. No one ansers the phone. The salesman was a Max Silverman who sold us a bill of lies- No one has contacted us about our belongings. I found that the U.S. DOT FMCSA wrote that the Reviews are fake. Below is what was posted at NationalMovingReviews.com. If you have not received your belongings file a police report and a consumer complaint with the US DOT FMCSA. This website should also ban them or verify with DOT that these people are a fraud. My Moving Reviews you need to alert people to this scam. The 4/5/3 star reviews are fake. Also when you go to the company's website notice the typos at the bottom of the screen it is a sham. And I hope the government arrests every single one of them for all of the harm they have caused unknowing consumers.

Long-distance move from Tampa, FL to Boston, MA

5 stars.

I’ve moved a few times before and the most recent move was from FL to MA. I booked Unified , two trucks and 7 guys loading driving and unloading, plus packing services as well. Alex’s crew did a fantastic job. Overall Unified were very professional. The estimate for the packing materials and labor was a bit off, but not significantly, and it was worth the cost because everything arrived to destination intact. Highly recommended.

Long-distance move from Columbus, OH to West Palm Beach, FL

Very Good Job.

I just moved to Florida from Ohio and after getting dozens of calls I chose Unified. I spoke to Michael and he was the only one that didn't pressure me. I'm a 67 year old woman who just wanted a safe move. Michael was very kind and walked me through everything making it so easy. The only thing was the truck broke down and delayed me for a day but the next day they showed up. The guys were very good and Sam said he has been doing this for 15 years. They all did good. My things arrived a little over a week later but happy to say nothing was broke. Thanks Michael for all your help. I have already sent my friend and I reccomend Unified if you need movers.

Long-distance move from Kentucky to Tennessee

Unified Van Lines, Baltimore, MD.

This is easily the most unprofessional, unreliable, unethical and frustrating company with which I have ever worked.
* They were 3 days late picking up my furniture - causing me to miss 2.5 days of work
* The estimate to move my furniture is $1000 more than they originally quoted
* What I was told by the moving coordinator was very different from what the movers told me when they picked up my furniture and their dispatch services since . For instance, I was told that my furniture would be stored for up to 40 days for free. Then they started calling me and telling me that I owed them $850 for storage or they would auction my furniture. I got that straightened out - no storage fees.
* They never return my calls.
* When they do call, I cannot understands the caller - poor, static service and callers who really have trouble with English - Russian I believe.
*It has been 8 weeks. Since about day 30, I started trying to arrange delivery, and I still have not received delivery of my furniture.
*This furniture belonged to my deceased mother and father. It is very important to me - especially since several of the framed art pieces was painted by my mother.

Long-distance move from Florida to Washington

Very professional movers.

We searched and did a lot of homework choosing a mover for our 4 bedroom house from Fl to Seattle WA. We were concerned since it’s a very long trip and had read and heard many scary stories about different movers. We chose Unified Van Lines based on our research and our first discussion with the representative Jerry who was very professional understanding and patient. They were not the least expensive but reasonable for a move of our size.We have a lot of heavy as well as delicate items that required special handling and when the movers arrived we were paying attention to how they packed everything and were impressed. Just want to say that everything went smoothly from start to finish from packing to delivery. Communication was very good and consistent which helped to calm our nerves during the transport. I have and will if asked to, recommend Unified based on a great moving experience.

Long-distance move from Delray Beach, FL to Lacey, WA

Worst movers EVER.

Moved from FL to WA. Got a quote from Bill O’kefe who lied about everything. Got a quote over the phone and several times asked for a home visit to verify the price as it was much lower than other quotes. We we’re told that the price was locked in and no need for a home visit. On moving day movers show up late then after loading 3/4 of our stuff we find out the price had more than doubled. Were on a time crunch so had no choice but to proceed. Fast forward 2 month’s and untold phone calls with either no response or “sorry, its still in FL and it hasn’t been scheduled by dispatch. (We were told our things would be stored in Seattle). Finally got a call at 2:30pm that our stuff would be delivered the next morning and if we couldn’t be there or couldn’t pay the full amount our things would go to storage and it would be an additional $1500-$2000 to get it back. Our issue was that since we had been living out of back packs for 2 months we had been forced to purchase other clothes and that had cut into what was set aside for them. We did get out stuff but they broke several things and then repackaged them in their own boxes and tried to blame us for it. Stay away from this company. Also David in dispatch was extremely rude and unhelpful. Would give 0 stats if possible. Last note, only time we ever received any calls back was the day before the delivery and the day of to make sure we could pay in full. All other messages were ignored.

Cross country move, SC to MT.

Sadly, there is no zero star rating. I had a listing of top movers and when I clicked on United I was misdirected to Unified. The company is founded on lies and theft. Received an estimate of $4700plus to move from SC to MT. Promised shipping to take place on Feb 26 but delayed saying they would load on the morning of 27th but showed up at 1:30PM. Employees were Russian (one spoke no English). They placed blankets around items and wrapped with 2 foot wide tape. When they were about finished loading the leader kept me busy signing 8 or10 sheets of illegibly completed items, while the other two stacked boxes at the rear door to the top making it appear maxed to the gills. This was an Enterprise Lease truck. They charged for 2000 cubic feet. Enterprise dimensions for the truck come to 1878.5 cubic feet. When my goods arrived 31 days later with me living in an empty house the blankets were wrapped with 2 inch wide tape. Goods had been unwrapped and stored in warehouse in NC. The company had been put out of service by FMCSA (feds) so another company ITX (truck door said ITS) said they had picked my goods up at a warehouse in NC. They too were Russian and I'm relatively sure are another of companies under many different names across the country run by the same guy, all doing the same way. There were a number of missing items. Now we were being charged $10,600 for what was a $4700 job. They knew the church was paying and had no scrupples about stealing from the church. Numerous items were missing and others damaged.
I suspect the good reviews are ficticious!

Long-distance move from Delray Beach, FL to Olympia, WA

Terrible service from a bunch of liars.

Sales person was initially helpful and friendly. We got a quote over the phone and was advised that if needed someone could come out to give an accurate quore for a cross country move. After requesting a home visit to ensure our $3,000 quote was accurate. We were assured no home inspection was needed and the quote was accurate. On moving day, after having most of our belongings in the truck already we were advised it would be an addition nearly $5000. We reluctantly agreed due to a time crunch to get to the west coast (from FL). Its now 6 weeks later and after several calls with no return call back from Bill O’Keefe, our salesman and only lame excuses from the dispatch dept we are still waiting for out belonging. Been living out of a backpack for 6 weeks now.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY LIE AND DON’t RETURN CALLS. Unified’s website shows 5 out of 5 stars but no other sites come close to that kind of high reviews. Just another example of what kind of company this is.

BTW, they still have our stuff in FL with a possibility of us waiting ANOTHER MONTH before we receive our belongings.
